Eve rushed to the service station carrying Wall-E under her arm.She found a replacement CPU with identical part number as Wall-E.She struggled to open the service panel of Wall-E and expose his CPU.She was so nervous and that she couldn't keep her hands steady.To the best of her ability to control her trembles,Eva replaced the unit.Almost immediately,Wall-E's eye started blipping.Wall-E restarted.
Eve took a deep breath and shut the panel."So far so good," she said.There was not much she could do but to wait.The two-minute starting routine seemed like forever to Eve.And finally Wall-E's operating system loaded completely.He was back alive.
But was he?
Wall-E stared at Eve with an empty look.Wall-E wasn't home.She had failed.She replaced the heart but not the soul.Wall-E's scheduled routine kicked in at this moment.He went on to his daily chore,picking up garbages,compressing the garbages,spiting out the garbages,stacking the garbages...
Wall-E was functioning perfectly as a garbage processing unit.
Eve's heart was broken.She realized that she lost her most faithful worshiper.
