for有为了……的意思,而to没有这个意思,这是一个区别.当都是对某人而言,这个意思时,区别在于要特殊记忆固定短语.但是也有一定的规律,比如我们说某个东西或某人对某人是如何的,即我们讲这个东西或这个人所发挥的直接作用时,我们用to：如：be kind to sb.对某人好,right answer to a question 用for,表示对于某人来说如何,比如,be important for you,对你而言是重要的
to与for的区别
For和to这两个介词,意义丰富,用法复杂.这里仅就它们主要用法进行比较.
