The Importance Of Honesty
My parents have always taught me that if I were honest,nothing would go wrong.My family has a small business selling textiles.As business people,Mother and Father have always related their experiences in being honest and how it pays.
Mother tells me that she never short-changes a worker's monthly overtime pay.This not only builds each worker's confidence in the company but it also helps him build a trusting relationship with his bosses.When the workers trust their bosses,they will be able to perform better at work because they do not have to worry about not being paid the right amount at the end of each month.
My parents also believe in giving customers their value for money.They do not overcharge their customers for something that is not its worth.This way,customers will keep returning to the shop because they know that my parents are truthful in making their sales.The customers can trust my parents to give them what they need in the correct quantity.
From their experiences in being honest,I have begun to realize that honesty is a virtue.If I were honest all the time,I would make more friends because they will know that they can trust me.Being honest would also mean that I do things in a truthful manner so that my friends can be sure that I will never betray their trust.
I will always remember,that honesty is always the best policy.
