there在口语中可以作为代词,但是这样实际是不符合语法的.我更愿意说：What do you think of it?
在书面英语中,this,that,these,those,there,here.都是不能作为代词直接独立使用的.
在上一位朋友的回答中,我个人觉得第一个例句What do you think of that?是不对的,严格的讲.而think of 是表示“考虑,看待”的所谓固定用法,所以句子倒不是错在think后不能加of there上,而是there不能做代词上.

很少有人这么说话。但在特殊情况下也可以这么说：当在谈论某一地方时，谈话双方都知道“there”是指什么（比较“here”和“there”）时，有可能说这种句子。
