With the development of seciety ,what under controversy is whether we should expand the range of a city or protect the farmland.
There is no doubt that the the expansion of a city is inevitable because the development of a city entails a large quantity of land for buidings and roads.Apparetly,it brings people a lot of convinience because of the easy transportation.Once those infrastructure are built ,it costs us much less time on a vehicle than that today.Besides,it is obvious that it will be beneficial to the economy of a city.
However,many people hold the view that it is of great importance to protect the farmland.The reasons for this idea may involve the recognition that once the land was used for buildings ,it is impossible for them to be transformed back.In addition,the enlargement of the metropolis
will cause a large number of problems,such as noise pollution ,traffic jams,etc.
